The Walkthrough

Step 1 of 7

What breaks

The honest failure mode

The three-audio-a-day limit operates on a strict rolling 24-hour window, not a midnight reset. If you generate your third podcast at 4:00 PM on a Tuesday, you cannot generate another one until 4:00 PM on Wednesday. The AI hosts also use heavy "podcast banter" (frequent "wows" and conversational filler), which can be grating if you just want dry information extraction. Finally, you cannot upload raw `.mp4` video files directly; you must use a public YouTube URL or extract the transcript to a text document first.

Three Things

1. The Narrow Source Trick

Click to reveal

If you only need to study one specific chapter, do not upload a 500-page textbook just to use one of your three daily audio credits on a broad summary. Create a separate notebook, upload just that single chapter, and the hosts will drill deeply into those specific pages.

2. Multimodal Synthesis

Click to reveal

You can add a YouTube lecture URL and a PDF textbook chapter to the same notebook. The Audio Overview will synthesize both, effectively having the "hosts" bridge the gap between the academic text and the professor's spoken explanations.

3. The Chat vs. Audio Math

Click to reveal

Asking follow-up questions in the text chat box does not consume your "Audio Overview" daily credits. Generate the audio once for the broad summary, then use the 50 daily text chats to drill down into specific definitions or quiz yourself.
